Depending on what you are looking to achieve, it may be possible to resolve problems and even improve your shooting skills through a 1-to-1 online training session.

I have had trainees go from using a camera in full-auto mode to nailing manual exposure in just a few hours of discussion!

With something as simple as a USB capture card and a HDMI cable, it's even possible to plug your camera into a laptop to share your camera's screen via ZOOM, so I can see exactly what you're looking at.

Most recently I've worked with clients online using the following cameras: FX3, FX30, FX6 and A7Siii. In reality, any camera is a decent candidate, whether it can be plugged into ZOOM or not.

Whilst this may not be the best option for those who are really seeking hands-on tuition, there are some circumstances in which this virtual training may be the quickest and most cost-effective solution, such as:

- Gaining a deeper understanding of camera menus and settings, and create presets for different shooting environments

​

- Setting up a camera for specific shooting scenarios (documentary, sport, low-light etc) 

​

- Resolving doubt or confusion around certain functions (zebras, colour temperature, ISO, ND filters, shooting in LOG etc)

- Create an equipment list for rental or purchase based on your shooting or project needs

​

- General problem solving or equipment queries
